The Earthmate GPS PN-40 is a high-sensitivity, high-performance, bright-color-screen handheld GPS that offers an unrivaled selection of display options including up-to-date DeLorme Topo North America topographic maps, color aerial imagery, USGS 7.5-min. topographic quad maps, and NOAA nautical charts. All maps that you need are included in the PN-40 Topo North America 9.0 bundle. The DeLorme Topo North America 9.0 software includes updated U.S. topographic and street maps to export as needed to your PN-40.

The DeLorme PN-40 features onboard Flash memory that totals 500 MB and the also supports high-capacity SD cards (SDHC) up to 32 GB. The 65K-color daylight-readable TFT screen provides clarity in any light conditions including direct sunlight. The PN-40 is WAAS-enabled, waterproof to IPX-7 standards, comes in a rugged, impact-resistant rubberized case, and weighs just over five oz.

The PN-40 holds up to 1,000 user-defined waypoints, 50 routes, and 10 tracks. All can be easily received from or sent to the included Topo North America 9.0 software. Navionics lake and marine charts are the unquestioned leaders for accurate, detailed charts for fishing, kayaking, marine navigation and other water-based activates. Now SD card chips containing both Navionics HotMaps Premium lake charts and Gold marine charts are viewable on the DeLorme Earthmate PN-40 handhelds. Navionics cards insert into the provided Earthmate SD-card slots. The PN-receivers recognize the cards immediately upon insertion; no setup is required.

The Navionics detail includes underwater depth contours, wrecks, navigation markers, hazards, boat launch sites, underwater vegetation areas, and much more. Navionics’ HotMaps features over 14,000 U.S. and Canadian lakes, plus 700 high-definition survey maps that include top tournament fishing lakes. The Gold marine charts offer coverage for coastal waters off all continents except Antarctica.
